Affiliate Disclosure
How affiliate links work on RoboticsLibrary.com.
Some pages on RoboticsLibrary.com contain affiliate links. When a reader clicks one of these links and makes a purchase, the retailer may pay us a small commission at no additional cost to the reader.
We disclose affiliate relationships at the top of every page where they apply, and we mark each affiliate link so it is recognizable. This page is the broader disclosure.
Where we use affiliate links
- Product pages (robot arms, sensors, single-board computers, kits)
- Buyer guides and "best of" articles
- Hardware lists within Academy lessons
What does not affect recommendations
- Commission rate
- Retailer relationship status
- Whether a product is from a sponsor
Recommendations are based on usefulness for robotics learning, research, and prototyping. If a less-profitable product is the better fit, we recommend it.
Why we disclose
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission requires clear disclosure of material connections between publishers and the products they recommend. Even outside the U.S., we believe readers deserve to know when a recommendation is tied to a commission. So we say so.
